How to Incorporate a Company in Afghanistan?

  1. Register the company at Afghanistan Central Business Registry (ACBR)
  2. Obtain a tax identification number (TIN)
  3. Deposit fees for business registration at Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) branch
  4. Submit a business application to Afghanistan Inspection Support Agency.

To incorporate a company in Afghanistan, you need to be physically present such as you will have to visit AISA office to acquire a business license.

You need to pay registration and publication fees to AISA and receive the receipt. After the approval of the registration form, you will obtain a business license from ASIA

Following are the ways to incorporate in Afghanistan:

  1. Limited Liability Company: This is highly recommended for the startups who are interested in setting up a business in Afghanistan. You need one director, 2 shareholders who can belong to any nationality. It would help if you appointed a board of supervisors and the company agent.
  2. Corporation: This type of business entity is set up when the investors want to issue shares of the company with the public. They must have one director and two shareholders, company agent and supervisors.
  3. Branch Office: Branch offices are set up on Afghanistan, and the parent companies define the activities of the branch offices. A legal representative must be appointed who should be a resident of Afghanistan.

 

Documents Required to Incorporate a Company in Afghanistan

Following are the list of documents which you need to prepare for while setting up a company in Afghanistan:

  1. Business application form which is available online
  2. Copy of passport and residential proof of the company directors
  3. Passport size photographs of the company’s director
  4. Article of incorporation
  5. MOM
  6. Tax identification number
  7. Certificate of capital deposition
  8. Bank statements of last three months.
